K-Pop Singer and Dancer Jennie Kim was born on January 16., 1996, in the South Korean capital Seoul. As a teenager she studied in New Zealand, where she also became interested in K-Pop and the label YG, which specializes in Hip-Hop and RnB.
Back in South Korea, Jennie Kim won an audition in 2010 with the song Take a Bow by Rihanna and became a trainee at 14. She participated in various productions, including with singers G-Dragon and Seungri and K-Pop singer Lee Hi. From 2011 to 2016, preparations were made for the girl-group Blackpink, which debuted in 2016 with the single Square One. Jennie Kim speaks fluent Korean, Japanese and English.
